Curiosity and wonder are all around us during our week-long summer camps! Our highly qualified educators believe that students are the most engaged and learn best when their inquisitiveness and hands-on experiences are encouraged and empowered. Explorations through the forest, adventures along the riverbank, and games between the strawberry fields will cultivate a true appreciation for our ecosystems here in the Upper Valley, as well as the farm-fresh food and the community connections available within this unique setting.
Experienced staff facilitate campers ages 6-11 through activities and learning opportunities in groups of no more than ten. In addition to daily farm chores, games, and sensory-based explorations, campers have opportunities throughout the week tochoose their own activities.
Some of these activities may include:
- baking a sweet treat for the whole farm
- creating and painting garden signs
- harvesting fruits or veggies from our fields for a snack
- collecting and identifying insects who live on the farm
- learning about the food chain while playing a camp-wide game of tag
- working in teams to complete a scavenger hunt
- tracking the wildlife that visits the farm
Safety, fun, and community building are at the foundation of our education programs. Our program is designed to instill a strong sense of stewardship and belonging among our campers, the environment, and one another.
