Message From the Principal

This is the time of year when we all think of the many reasons we have to be thankful.  As a school principal, that is an easy task! I am thankful for 307 young people who come to school each day with smiles on their faces, ready to learn.  I am thankful for the mistakes that our children make each day and the ability they show to forgive their peers. I am thankful for a dedicated staff who love to work with children.  I am thankful for families who value education and support MCS. I am thankful that our school values creativity and embraces outdoor and environmental education. I could not be happier with my decision to join Marion Cross School.

The school climate survey will remain open until November 30th.  Please take a few minutes to open up this School Climate Survey and give your feedback.  There have been a few questions about the level of confidentiality with this survey.  This survey is conducted and results generated by the VT PBIS organization. We will not look at individual survey results, but rather the results as a collective.  Your information will remain completely anonymous. We will be surveying students and staff as well. I will share the results in a future issue of Cross Words.

Finally, there will not be an issue of the Cross Words next week.  I wish each of you a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am truly thankful to be a part of the MCS community.

Enjoy the weekend,

Shawn
