  • Tentative Last Day of School - June 14th

 Message From The Principal

This past week we hosted parent/teacher conferences.  Teachers used zoom to connect with families to share student progress.  Nothing shows how much families appreciate us more than having a 97% attendance rate for conferences.  Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to talk about your children’s school experience.  If the conference left you with any questions please feel free to reach back out to your child’s teacher for a follow up.

Please note that the last day of school for students has changed to June 14th.  A huge thank you goes out to Superintendent Badams for taking the time to connect with the Secretary of Education to figure out our last day for students.  I am certain that by June 14th we will all enjoy some summer vacation time!

Last, I would like to mention that Lindsey has been working with various grade levels to tap trees, collect sap, and boil sap to produce maple syrup.  Even though sugaring looks different this school year, it is a welcome activity that is fairly COVID protocol friendly.  We look forward to the first batch of fresh maple syrup.  Perhaps with proper outdoor distancing we can celebrate spring with pancakes and maple syrup!

Enjoy the weekend,
Shawn

Message From Student Services

Marion Cross is a PBiS school, which means we have systems in place to teach and support social and behavioral expectations through positive strategies.  A vital source of information on how we are doing are the parents and guardians of MCS students….you!

We want to hear about your experience with your student’s education. We invite you to participate in completing the School Climate Survey. This survey includes questions about your student’s learning, school safety, and interpersonal relationships, as well as your attitudes about the institutional environment and your personal involvement in school.

Your responses will be very helpful in improving student relationships, learning conditions, and the overall school environment. Beginning today, March 12, we invite all parents, guardians and caretakers to complete this survey for our school.

The survey is completely anonymous and brief; it contains 21 questions and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. You can take the survey online by using the following unique school link.  If you cannot access this online survey, please call or email me, Greg Bagnato and I will send home a paper copy with your child.

Please submit your responses by March 26th. Your responses are completely anonymous. The results will only be reported as group responses. There are no right or wrong answers. We just want to know about your personal experiences.

As you respond to each item, think about your own personal experiences as a parent, caregiver or guardian at your student’s school. Please answer all of the questions, or your answers won’t be recorded, but you can mark “I prefer not to answer” if you don’t want to answer a question about you. We hope you will take the time to provide us with this valuable information.  Thank you for your time and participation!

Sincerely,
Greg Bagnato
