Vermont Act 60 requires schools throughout Vermont to write and implement a Local Action Plan (LAP), designed to improve the performance of all students in the school. The plan is developed by a team of administrator, teacher/staff, parent, community and School Board members. This team reports to the School Board on a monthly basis at board meetings.
The plan is approved by the School Board. The action plan contains:
Goals and Objectives for improved student learning and well-being
Educational strategies and other initiatives designed to achieve these goals
Success criteria
